I tried using Weleda skin food Light on my face because it’s marketed as a natural moisturizer. It is loaded with alcohol and essential oils like linalool and limonene. My face instantly broke out in hives and red patches that took a week to calm down.
The skin food is completely un usable on the face unless you want an immediate breakout of cystic acne. The level of lanolin and beeswax in this formula completely suffocates the skin. It feels like putting heavy petroleum jelly on your face.
The Skin Food cream worked amazingly on dry patches and gave my skin a healthy glow overnight
Weleda Skin Food saved my hands during the cold season. I keep a tube in my nightstand and use it after washing dishes, because apparently adult life is just dry knuckles and bills. It’s thick, almost too thick for daytime, but overnight it’s magic. The scent is herbal, so not everyone will love it, but I do. Little greasy at first but worth it.
