The Ordinary was the first skincare brand that made me realize I had absolutely no idea what half the ingredients in my routine were doing. 😂 I bought three serums because they were inexpensive and thought, “How complicated can this be?” Very, apparently. I eventually simplified everything and started introducing products one at a time, and that made a HUGE difference in how much I actually enjoyed using them. I like that I can target specific things without spending a fortune, but I definitely think you need to do a little homework. My favorite products are the simple ones I can easily fit into my routine. My bathroom shelf has finally stopped looking like a science experiment.

I love how affordable The Ordinary makes targeted skincare. There are so many products to choose from that it can be confusing at first, but once I found the right ingredients for my skin, I was really happy with the results.
Cheap, straightforward and lasts ages. The Niacinamide + Zinc serum helped with how oily my forehead gets during the day, although it wasn’t an overnight difference. One warning: if I use too much it pills under my moisturiser, so literally 2–3 drops is enough. For the price I really can’t complain.
It’s requires skincare knowledge to layer products correctly without causing piling or irritation.
What I appreciate most is that I can build a routine without spending a fortune. I did have to read up on what I was buying because there are so many options, but once I figured out what worked for me, I was very happy with the results. Simple packaging, sensible prices, and no unnecessary fuss.

I started using The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum to help with excess oil and visible pores. It took about a month of consistent use, but my complexion looked more even and my skin stayed balanced throughout the day. Adding the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA moisturizer helped prevent dryness, creating a simple routine that delivered better results than I expected for the price.
There are so many products that choosing one was confusing. Thankfully, the website made it easier to compare ingredients, and I ended up finding something that suited my skin without overspending.
