I was drawn to this brand because I wanted to explore something that felt a little different from my usual skincare lineup. The presentation is beautiful, and I enjoy products that make my routine feel intentional rather than like another task on my to-do list. The price is definitely a consideration, though. I wouldn’t replace my entire routine with it, but choosing one product to enjoy feels more realistic for my budget.
Tata Harper is one of those brands that makes me stop and look twice, mostly because everything feels so thoughtfully put together. I’m interested in the botanical approach, and I like the idea of having a skincare routine that feels a little more intentional instead of just grabbing whatever is trending that week. BUT the prices? Whew. 😂 I’d have to be pretty convinced that a product suited my skin before spending that much on it. I also wouldn’t assume that plant-based automatically means irritation-free, especially when there are lots of different ingredients in a formula. It’s definitely appealing, but for me, it’d be a choose-one-product-carefully kind of brand.
Tata Harper is definitely a “treat yourself” brand for me. I first tried one of the masks because I wanted something that felt like a proper at-home spa moment, and I ended up really liking the experience. The scents are very noticeable, so if you’re sensitive to fragrance, I’d definitely keep that in mind. Personally, I enjoy it — it makes me feel like I’ve temporarily become the kind of person who has fresh flowers in every room. 😂 The products leave my skin feeling soft and refreshed, but the prices mean I don’t buy them constantly. It’s more of a special little luxury in my routine.
I purchased the water lock moisturizer, and within six weeks of opening, it began smelling sour and turned a weird yellowish brown color due to the lack of proper preservatives.
The first thing I noticed was the smell. Not bad at all—just very botanical and different from what I usually use. My skin felt soft and looked pretty fresh after using it. I wouldn’t say it completely changed my skin, but I enjoyed the experience enough that I’d try another product.
