The formula is prone to severe pilling, if you apply it over or under other water-based serums or oils, it immediately balls up into sticky white lint-like rolls on your face, wasting expensive product.
I’ve always found the colorful bottles and product names eye-catching, but what matters most to me is how everything fits into an actual routine. I’m interested in targeted skincare, especially when a product has a clear purpose rather than trying to solve every skin concern at once. My one concern is accidentally overdoing it with active ingredients. Sometimes we get so excited about improving our skin that we forget it needs a little patience, too. I’d introduce products gradually instead of throwing everything into my routine at the same time.
I’ve definitely been guilty of adding a serum to my cart because someone said it made their skin glow, without thinking about whether it would work with the rest of my routine. We live and learn. 😂 Sunday Riley is interesting to me because of its range of targeted treatments, especially if you’re trying to address dullness or uneven-looking skin. I’d just be careful about introducing active ingredients too quickly. More products do not automatically mean better skin, unfortunately. The price also makes me want to research each item properly. I’d rather find one formula that suits me than build a routine around internet hype.

My issue is purely with the dropper/dispenser design. It dispenses way too much product with a single pump, leading to wasted cream, and product accumulates and crusts around the top rim.
This was one of those purchases where I finally understood why people keep talking about a product. My skin looked brighter after using it consistently, although I did have to be patient. I wouldn’t recommend throwing five new actives into your routine at once—learned that lesson the hard way.
