Okay, the packaging is so pretty 😭 And the product itself didn’t disappoint either! I like that it feels comfortable to wear without making my skin look too heavy. This is the kind of makeup I reach for when I want to look put together without doing the absolute most.
Jouer is giving “I have somewhere nice to be” makeup, even if the somewhere is just lunch with a friend and a little window shopping afterward. 😂 I like the idea of makeup that feels polished without making the whole process unnecessarily complicated. I’d be especially interested in complexion products and easy everyday shades that work with the rest of my makeup bag. Of course, shade matching is everything, and I’d want to see the colors in person before ordering. It’s a brand I’d explore for those little extras that make getting ready more fun, rather than something I’d automatically buy an entire collection from.
I wore Jouer to my friend’s wedding and ended up getting asked what I had on my skin, so obviously I came home feeling extremely pleased with myself. 😂 The makeup looked really nice in photos without making me feel like I was wearing a ton of makeup. I did have to experiment with shades because my first choice was not it. Like… at all. Once I found the right one, though, I really liked the finish. It’s become one of those brands I check when I want my makeup to look polished but still like me.
The essential hydrating lip oil shades are beautiful and non-sticky when first applied. However, as soon as the oil absorbs about 30 minutes in, my lips actually feel drier and chapped than before I applied it. It acts more like a temporary gloss than a treatment oil.
I wore the makeup to a friend’s wedding and forgot I was even wearing it until someone asked what foundation I had on. 😂 It looked really natural in photos, which was exactly what I wanted. I did have to play around with shades before finding one that worked for me.

I bought a few complexion products from Jouer and honestly, I didn’t expect to like them this much. The foundation feels light but still gives good coverage. It doesn’t cling to dry patches which is rare for me. Only downside is the shade range could still be better.

Jouer blush and highlighter are cute and look good in pictures. The highlight is shimmer not glitter which i like but the blush wore off sooner than i thought.
