I’m drawn to skincare brands that seem to understand the value of a simple routine. Jordan Samuel Skin has that minimalist, thoughtful feel, and I like the idea of focusing on the basics instead of layering product after product just because it’s trending. Cleansing is one of those steps people can easily overlook, even though a cleanser that suits your skin can make your routine feel much more comfortable. The only thing I’d want to compare is the price against other gentle options, because a straightforward formula doesn’t always need to be expensive. Still, I’d rather have a few products I enjoy using consistently than a cabinet full of things I forget about after two weeks.
I found Jordan Samuel Skin during one of my “my skincare routine is getting ridiculous, let’s simplify” phases. 😂 What I like is that the products feel very intentional without making me feel like I need fifteen different bottles. I started with a cleanser and moisturizer and gradually added other things instead of going all in. My skin felt comfortable and balanced, and I especially liked the textures. There’s something very no-nonsense about the brand that I appreciate. It feels like skincare for people who actually want to use the products instead of just photograph them on a marble counter. The prices are definitely higher than drugstore, but I’ve been happy with what I’ve tried.
It glides on smoothly as a gel, melts into a rich oil, and emulsifies with water to rinse away completely. It leaves my skin feeling supple, soft, and balanced. Jordan Samuel really understands sensitive and dehydrated skin.

Finally a cleanser that doesn’t make my face feel squeaky clean in the worst possible way. The Matinee Gel Cleanser removes the sunscreen and general grime from my day without leaving my cheeks tight. I usually double cleanse if I’m wearing makeup, though, because I don’t think this alone gets everything off. Really nice everyday cleanser otherwise.
I appreciate skincare that doesn’t make me feel like I need a chemistry degree to understand it. The product I tried fit into my routine really easily and my skin has been noticeably calmer and more comfortable. I’m not completely converted to the entire line yet, but this one earned its place.
This is one of those skincare brands that doesn’t try to overwhelm you with a million complicated steps. The cleanser leaves my face clean but comfortable, not tight or squeaky. I’ve especially appreciated it during colder weather when my skin tends to become much more easily irritated.
