Joanna Vargas is very much my “I want to feel fancy for a minute” skincare brand. 😂 I tried one of the masks after having a particularly rough-looking skin week and loved how soft my face felt afterward. What I appreciate most is that the products feel luxurious without making the whole experience feel ridiculously complicated. I’ve used a few different things from the line now, and the textures are probably my favorite part. My only complaint is my bank account would prefer that I develop cheaper hobbies. 😭 I don’t use it every day, but when I want a little at-home spa moment, this is usually where I reach.
My skin didn’t look plumped or lifted at all. Instead, it left a tacky, film-like residue that started balling up as soon as I tried to apply my liquid foundation over it.
I had one of those weeks where I looked in the mirror and thought, ‘Girl, what happened?’ 😭 My skin looked exhausted. I started using this as part of my evening routine and it became a really nice self-care moment. My skin looked fresher afterward, but honestly, I also just loved having ten quiet minutes to myself.
There are things I really like about the brand, but the price is difficult for me to justify as an everyday routine. I’d consider repurchasing a favorite than buying several products.

I splurged on one of the Joanna Vargas serums and I could see a glow. My friends even asked what I was doing differently. But after a month it didn’t keep improving, so I worry about long term value. Still, it’s fun and effective in the short term.
