I bought the Jillian Dempsey cleanser and toner set hoping to get that “fresh but clean” feel. The cleanser foams nicely and leaves my face feeling clean without tightness. The toner gives a mild fresh scent and helps with oil control (my T-zone gets oily easily). However — and this is a big “but” for me — during rainy or humid days it still leaves a slight tightness on my cheeks. I also didn’t see dramatic changes in brightness or acne prevention after a month. So, it’s okay: decent everyday cleanser/toner, but nothing magical.

Jillian Dempsey’s makeup skincare hybrids are clever, but for me they leaned too dewy and didn’t last through my long workday. The cleansing balm is lovely on dry days though, silky, pleasant to use, and gentle. Mixed feelings overall.
