HerStyler has been a mixed experience for me. I initially bought one of their straighteners because I was drawn to the sleek design and all the positive reviews I had seen online. The packaging was nice, and the product itself felt sturdy and well-made. When I first used it, I was impressed by how quickly it heated up and how smooth my hair felt after straightening. It glided easily through my hair without pulling or snagging, which is something I’ve had issues with in the past with other brands.
However, after using it for a few weeks, I started to notice a few downsides. First, the temperature control doesn’t seem very precise. Even though it claims to have adjustable heat settings, I felt like it either didn’t get hot enough or got way too hot, with no real in-between. This made it a little tricky to use on different sections of my hair, especially since I have some areas that are more delicate and prone to breakage.
I’ve had my fair share of disappointments with flat irons in the past—both in terms of burns and broken promises. So many of them claimed to deliver flawless, glass-smooth hair without heat damage and to last for years. After all that, I realized it’s better to keep it simple, which is exactly what the HerStyler flat iron does.
