I’m a sucker for beautiful packaging, and this brand definitely knows how to catch my attention. Everything has that clean, understated look that makes me want to reorganize my entire bathroom shelf. 😅 Beyond the aesthetics, I’ve enjoyed incorporating the products into my routine. I do wish some items were a little more affordable, but overall, it’s a brand I’d be interested in exploring further.
I have to admit, I’m a sucker for packaging that looks like it belongs in a beautifully organized bathroom. Grown Alchemist has that understated, botanical-inspired aesthetic that makes everything look calm and expensive, even when my actual bathroom counter is a complete mess. 😂 Beyond the look, I’m interested in skincare and body-care products that feel pleasant to use without turning the routine into a whole project. My hesitation is that botanical ingredients and natural-inspired branding don’t automatically mean a product will agree with every skin type. I’d still check the ingredient list, especially for fragrance, and choose based on what my skin needs. Beautiful presentation is a bonus, but the formula still has to do its job.

I bought Grown Alchemist mostly because the packaging looked like it belonged in a very expensive bathroom. 😂 I know, not exactly scientific reasoning. Thankfully, I ended up liking the products too. I’ve used a few of their body and skincare products and really enjoy the textures and scents. Everything feels calm and understated rather than aggressively perfumed or overly complicated. The results for me have been more about keeping my skin comfortable and moisturized than some dramatic transformation. My only hesitation is the price. I like the brand, but I have to be in the mood to spend that much on something I could probably find a cheaper version of. Still, it makes my routine feel a little nicer.
The actual cream formula is lovely, it has a clean botanical citrus scent, sinks into the skin smoothly, and creates a great velvety base for primer. However, grown alchemist’s aluminum squeeze tubes are terrible. After squeezing it from the middle for two weeks, the metal crimped, cracked open along the side seam, and started leaking cream all over my vanity drawer.
I’m not usually someone who gets excited about skincare packaging, but this looks ridiculously nice sitting on my bathroom counter. More importantly, I actually like using it. The texture is good, the routine is simple, and my skin has felt pretty balanced since I started.
The aluminum tube is surprisingly practical. I can squeeze almost all of the product out, and it’s much easier to pack for travel than a bulky jar.
I wasn’t planning to switch moisturizers, but I kept reaching for this one until my old cream expired untouched. That’s probably the best compliment I can give. It feels comfortable on my skin and doesn’t compete with the scent of my perfume.

The moment I try to apply my liquid foundation over it, the primer starts rolling off into tiny white flakes, forcing me to wash my face and start all over again. It works fine if you wear it completely on its own for a matte look, but as an actual makeup primer, it completely fails to do its job.
