The packaging is so cute that I understand how people end up buying a product before they’ve even finished reading what it does. 😭 Glow Recipe definitely knows how to make skincare look fun, and I like the idea of having products that feel enjoyable to use instead of purely functional. I’d be interested in the hydrating formulas, especially when my skin looks dull after a week of terrible sleep. But I’ve also learned that a pretty bottle doesn’t guarantee a perfect match for my skin. I’d check the ingredients, introduce products gradually, and resist the urge to buy the entire collection at once.
I’m not even going to pretend the packaging didn’t get me. It absolutely did. 😂 I bought Glow Recipe because everything looked so cute, but I ended up actually loving the products I tried. My favorite part is how easy they are to fit into my routine. The textures are fun and my skin feels hydrated afterward without feeling heavy. I once told myself I was only going to buy one thing and walked out with three. No regrets, unfortunately. My bathroom counter is now basically a little pink-and-pastel skincare display.
This entire line is just overpriced, artificially dyed perfume in glass jars.
Glow Recipe products are fun to use and give my skin a fresh, dewy look. I also appreciate the smaller sets because they let me try different products before committing to the full sizes.
Okay these are FUN. I originally bought the Dew Drops because I kept seeing them everywhere and fully expected them to be all packaging and hype. Nope. One pump under makeup gives me that healthy glossy look without looking oily, and I’ve even worn it alone on no-makeup days. The watermelon scent might not be everyone’s thing but I actually enjoy it.
I was mostly sold by the packaging, not going to lie. 😅 But the product itself surprised me. My skin feels softer after using it, and I’ve actually been consistent with my routine because I enjoy reaching for it. Four stars only because I don’t think every product I’ve tried is equally impressive.
