Bought the baume de rose lip care tube because of the cult-classic status, and I regret it completely. It smells overwhelmingly like artificial old-lady roses, and the texture is so thick and sticky that my hair constantly glues itself to my lips when the wind blows outside. For the price of a high-end dinner, I expected a lip balm that actually felt comfortable to wear instead of a glorified, heavily perfumed gloss.
I have a weakness for makeup that makes me look put together when I’ve done the absolute bare minimum. BY TERRY gives me that sort of polished, fancy-beauty-counter feeling. The complexion products are what catch my attention most because I like makeup that still lets my skin look like skin. The downside? My wallet and I are not always on the same page. 😂 I’d probably save this brand for products I use regularly rather than buying something just because the packaging is pretty. Lovely luxury option, but definitely one I’d want to test in person first.
I bought By Terry before a dinner because I wanted my makeup to look nice without looking like I had spent two hours doing it. The rose scent of the CC serum is gorgeous and the glow is subtle but noticeable. I love how it looks on my vanity. The price still makes me wince though, and the bottle design could be better.
