Excellent for sensitive skin and redness concerns. The products feel soothing and never irritate my skin.
I bought the Avène cleanance cleansing gel for my oily skin, but it is way too stripping. It contains sodium laureth sulfate, which left my skin feeling like cardboard and completely squeaky clean, which any dermatologist will tell you is bad.
Avène products have been gentle on my sensitive skin and helped reduce redness after just a few uses. The texture is light and comfortable, although I wish the packaging was a bit more practical.
I bought the cleanance mattifying emulsion for my oily skin, but it leaves an incredibly frustrating white, chalky residue on my face that balls up into tiny white flakes when I try to rub it in. It doesn’t layer under makeup at all and leaves a strange, tight film over my skin rather than actually balancing oil production.
Avène has honestly been one of the best brands for my sensitive skin. Their thermal water spray and moisturizers helped calm redness and irritation without making my skin feel greasy or heavy afterward.
Perfect for sensitive skin. The thermal spring water products instantly calm irritation and redness. I’ve been using it for years and it never disappoints, especially during flare-ups.
The products seem great for sensitive skin and I had fewer breakouts after using them. One cream felt a little greasy during humid weather though.
The Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream absolutely saved my irritated skin after I overdid actives. Zero glamour, all function.
I always go back to Avène whenever my skin gets irritated. Their products are super gentle and don’t make my skin react. The thermal water spray is honestly something I keep repurchasing without thinking now.
Reliable and gentle skincare. Not exciting but very effective if you have reactive skin.
Gentle and soothing on my sensitive skin; I use the mist daily.
I had redness and break outs after several use of this SPF 50 but loving the thermal spring water in relieving dry skin quick.
Super gentle and soothing, especially the thermal spring water spray. Great for sensitive skin, though some products feel a bit too simple for the price.
The Avène thermal spray is my little lifesaver in the summer. I carry it in my bag and it instantly calms my skin when it feels tight.
Gentle and hydrating for my sensitive skin.
Feels light and refreshing every time I use it.
I’m allergic to perfumes and react easily to sunscreens. Avène SPF 50+ felt soothing at first, but after a week my skin developed clogged pores and occasional breakouts
I have super sensitive skin, so Avène’s thermal spring water and calming creams were a great fit initially. They’re soothing and gentle, no doubt. But I found many of their formulas too basic over time. Cicalfate+ worked well post-treatment but didn’t wow me otherwise. A safe brand for sensitive skin—but not a transformative one.
Simple, clean, and effective.
